“This accommodation is just wonderful! It’s very tastefully decorated, the kitchen is well equipped and the location is stunning – we walked from our apartment straight onto the beach.
The owners have gone out of their way to ensure attention to detail. The welcome hamper was amazing. We was sorry to be leaving!
A perfect room. The layout was fantastic, with a great little space for our dog – there were even treats and dog bags. Not to mention a lovely dog bed!”

“Sophie was interactive right from the start and ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful view of the sea from the bedroom (where we could also people-watch!) and the apartment itself was modern, well equipped, and very tastefully decorated. Also only a short walk to the centre so very convenient.”

“We had an amazing, relaxing three-night stay at the Beach Escapes. We previously stayed when it was the Bed and Breakfast and were very impressed with the conversion to self-contained apartments. Sophie was the perfect host. The accommodation was fitted out to a high standard and the rooms were all very clean with amazing sea views. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival including eggs, croissants, butter etc. Will definitely stay again!”

“We have stayed three times so far this year at the Beach Escapes apartments and visited several times when it was the BnB. The apartments are beautifully appointed and spacious, and Sophie & John are great hosts. Very attentive and no ask is too big. The accommodation is nicely laid out and our favourite room is the one at the top with great views, lovely balcony where you can watch the world go by even in December!”

“My partner and I had a lovely 5-day break in Captain’s Cabin in July this year. The apartment was very well laid out with every need catered for and the location is unbeatable. We spent many a relaxing hour sipping wine on the patio watching the world go by and listening to the relaxing sound of the sea. Taking a dip could not have been easier. There is a Waitrose within a very pleasant 5-minute walk along the military canal and the town is equally close. There are also very easy promenade walks to Sandgate and on to Folkestone. A perfect spot and a lovely apartment, we definitely plan to go back.”

“Amazing place to stay in – extremely clean and very well-designed apartment. We stayed in Captain’s Cabin, which had a full sea view and direct access to the beach. The kitchen is fully equipped, as if you are at home. There is a sharing pantry where you can use spices, seasoning, dressings, cooking oil, etc. We also enjoyed a barbeque in the outside seating area. They even had a box with charcoal and barbeque sticks ready for use. There is a cabinet filled with magazines, children story books and games like cards, monopoly, chess, etc. plus a free parking space. Highly recommended; it is better than a 5-star hotel with a sea view.”

“This was our second visit to The Beach Escapes and equally as enjoyable as the first. The apartment was clean and well equipped, it even has a Nespresso machine. Sophie & Jon provided an excellent welcome pack to help get the holiday started.
There is an allocated parking space for each apartment which makes arrival a whole lot easier. In fact they have thought of everything that one may need on a short break!
The outside seating areas are well kept and there is easy access to the promenade and beach. Hythe town centre is a ten-minute walk with many interesting shops and a Waitrose Supermarket. This is a superb venue with character and charm, run by a family that care about their guests.”

We are Australians and travel extensively. Little touches make you feel welcome and at a home away from home. The apartment is well provided with everything and more that you need. It is an easy drive to many attractions including Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral.
We would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.”

“Sublime is how I would describe the accommodation and sea views at The Beach Escapes in Hythe. My husband and I were blown away by the stylish coastal-themed interior and the mesmeric English Channel views from The Admiral’s Deck penthouse apartment. Watching the sun set and rise from the balcony was a dream come true. It was a perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Anyone who loves the sea will also love The Beach Escapes.
The apartment has everything you could need and more for a comfortable stay. We were glad to be able to park in The Beach Escapes’ car park and to be in such close proximity to Hythe’s high street, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and leisure facilities. As keen walkers, we enjoyed walking to arty Folkestone and back, roaming on the dramatic shingle beach at Dungeness, visiting the charming RSPB reserve, discovering Hastings’ seafaring history and exploring beautiful Hythe. It was also a pleasure to sit and read in the warmth and comfort of the apartment where the sea presents an ever-changing palette of colours ranging from deepest blue to vibrant orange at sunset. The Beach Escapes is a stunning place for a holiday, and we highly recommend it.”

“You will not find a better host than Sophie, I texted Sophie Friday morning to see if she had any availability, as all our plans for my hubby’s birthday had to change overnight due to the queen passing. We stayed in the Admiral’s Deck, the penthouse – it is faultless. The decor is so cute and just works all together, you can see the love that has gone in to making this feel like a home. The honesty pantry is a brilliant idea; everything you need has either been provided or you can find it in the honesty pantry. The welcome book is filled with wonderful ideas. Most definitely go to the Lazy Shack for their famous scallops and bacon, it was so good. We explored Hythe and Folkestone and took a lot of ideas from the welcome book on what to do and places to eat. In the apartment the bed is huge and so comfortable – the space in this apartment is well thought out. Beach towels and bath towels provided. Everything you need to cook with is provided, plus a Smart TV, Alexa and free wifi are also provided. I also loved the binoculars – heavy to hold but what a great idea to look out as far as you can! I’m so grateful for Sophie and all that she did and her beautiful beach apartment!”

The location was perfect for water sports and for the children to play on the beach. The apartments were superbly decorated and comfortable. Having the Gull’s Rest Terrace and Stone Throw’s gardens were perfect for us for family meals.

We live in Australia and although I am originally from Hythe, it felt like a proper holiday from the moment we checked in and we felt really relaxed. We stayed in Gulls Rest which meant we had a lot of outdoor space, which was fantastic to enjoy the beach views while having a drink. Sophie is a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. The apartment was beautiful and all of the finishing touches including the communal pantry and games are great. “I wanted to put pen to paper to thank you for such a wonderful stay at your incredibly lovely apartment. It was far bigger than we had expected and decorated to such a high standard. Absolutely beautiful throughout. Having the large bedroom, two loos and a double sofa bed worked out really well as a family space and the corridor divides the rooms nicely. Lots of natural light as well. The two decks were perfect to sit out and lovely for the dogs; and so very private. Amazing to be able to walk straight up onto the beach promenade from our deck! The kitchen had everything we could have needed. Your kind hamper such a nice touch. And it was fantastic we could raid the larder with the honesty box for extras we had forgotten like marmite etc! Great joy to be able to park right outside.”

“I booked my parents 4 nights in Captains Cabin, one of the promenade level apartments. Sophie met us when we arrived and was so nice and helpful. The apartment was absolutely lovely and catered for all your needs. It was great for my parents, who are in their 80’s, as they could walk out of the apartment onto the seafront plus the town centre and canal aren’t too far to walk to. I asked my mum if she had any comments and she said one word….. excellent. Thank you Sophie, my parents had a great time in Hythe.”
